Frequently Asked
Organic Transition FAQs
The transition to certified organic farming typically takes 2-3 years, during which farmers follow organic practices while their soil and produce are monitored for chemical residue levels. During this period, produce is marketed as "in-conversion" organic.
We provide comprehensive support including soil testing, bio-input supply, farm diary maintenance, Internal Control System (ICS) setup, group audit preparation, and market linkage for organic produce even during the transition period.
We support PGS (Participatory Guarantee System) for domestic markets and NPOP (National Programme for Organic Production) for export markets. Both are recognized by the Government of India through APEDA.
